I got the Alta gold card this fall (for grizzly access on weekends) but haven't been able to reserve parking all season as it's always sold out. Any tips? Are others experiencing this too? I feel like it wasn't chronically sold out in the past.

Heaviest mank of the season today in the Wasatch back.

Same. Got a mtn collective this year and it seems like it's always reserved. Will also take any tips

To state the obvious: 1) ski when you don't need a reservation (M-Th); 2) Book well in advance; 3) ski after 1:00pm

Man you’re not lying. Tgapp and I would find a handful of turns of soft/good snow and then what appeared soft would be a rock hard mogul seemingly out of nowhere. I tweaked my knee pretty good on one.

Happy to report I got to sample some this afternoon. Johnson’s Warmup at 3:55 didn’t suck - if you knew how to flow…. Not a bad day to ski with a partial wing…

No complaints here. Okay, on the heavy side, particularly in the afternoon, and indeed there were crusty bumps underneath to watch for. It helped to be high up; I spent the whole day skiing various things in Supreme Bowl and Catherines. I had a great day.

Dislocated. Skied down and drove home. Lots of fun was had! Out for another week or so…

According to my calculations you dislocated your shoulder on Jan 26. And you are skiing 3 weeks later.

I dislocated my shoulder on Dec 14. I also ripped the greater tuberosity off my humerus, which I consider a rather small complication. It's been 9 weeks and I am not even thinking about skiing. Maybe in another 3 weeks, which will put me at 12 weeks post injury.

I have to ask, how old are you? I'm 64.

Driving down the canyon must have really sucked. I hope you didn't have to wait to long to get treatment. The 1.5 hours my shoulder was dislocated was the longest 1.5 hours of my life.

There was great surfy snow out there to find today.

Surfy and quite deep this evening. Enough light at last to sneak some turns in after work without leaving tooo early.
