Renting a car and splitting up a trip 2-3 ways. It’s easy to add lots of places in the Alps, since there are so many so close to one another. I also have like a zillion books that I comb through to pick the places with the terrain I’m looking for, so always have specific places in mind.

I also want to explore the French Main alpine Ridge a bit more and of course the pyrenees. Since im a teacher AND a snow snob it is really hard to go to places when they are good. [emoji6]

Oh and I forgot Gudauri Georgia and Livigno when St. Moritz was closed because of avie Danger. So 84....

But honestly, If it snows here I'm all set with Engelberg & Andermatt and other uhm "good stuff" close by, so im not keen on traveling for the sake of traveling.
Aww how are your little snow angels? Linking turns yet? They better step it up to catch up with your 84!

This is good info and explains a lot. Cuz once this ski patroller dude, years after we'd last spoken, texted me out of the blue like, "Babe, let's go rent a car and ski across Europe." And until now I've been like WTF was he ramblin on about, he can't afford to take me to Europe.

[emoji848] Yes if it is an individual operation that services a peak.

Like an individual cat ski or heli operation in the Kootenays would count... But if you tried the cat skiing at like Powder Mountain, it wouldn't double count.

When I think backcountry huts, I think of like the 10th Mountain huts in Colorado, and those are more like campsites and wouldn't count.

Most big resorts seem to have a Nordic center, so I've skied at Devil's Thumb, Snow Mountain Ranch, Eldora, Frisco, Beaver Creek off the top of my head around here, and have also skied one or two around Tahoe, and I grew up Nordic skiing in Vermont, and there are a lot there (I'm not sure I could even remember which ones I've been to other than Viking and Wild Wings).

Although I usually avoid pay Nordic centers when I grab the long skinnies.

I know. It is a stones throw and I granted it dual citizenship.

Wolf Creek should be ceded to Texas though. Who knew?

I lived in southern Germany for 4 years while I was in the Army. Could day trip to the Arlberg and Zillertal.

Looking at others' lists I forgot Mt. Spokane (WA) and Snow King (WY) from my list.

Also didn't count Mount Washington but noticed some others did (Tuckerman in particular). So if each ski zone on MTW is a separate area, add 3 more (Tuckerman, Cog Railway, Huntington).
