Seems like it should be "the U.S. gets COVID-19 under control OR Canada's numbers are just as bad as the U.S.'s are." Both countries are currently headed in the wrong direction, the U.S. just has a substantial head start. Per the latest NY Times stats the U.S. is at 166 new cases per million population and Canada is at 61, but Canada is up 41% in the last two weeks and the U.S. is up 25%.

Examples of extended family members in exclusive dating relationships include fiancé(e)s, romantic partners, boyfriends, girlfriends or any other couple in an intimate, loving relationship of at least this year.”

Students studying in Canada also are now allowed entry.

3,441 Americans were rejected attempting to enter Canada for non-essential reasons in September.

Since the border closed in March, 22,414 foreign nationals have been rejected by Canada — 87% of them from the U.S. Sightseeing and shopping were the main reasons given that were not good enough to gain entry.
