    Gore Sunday AM?

What are the conditions at Gore? Need recon and advice for tomorrow AM. Anything left in the woods?

    Gore mountain, NY?

Tons left in the woods. Hell, woods skiing just started this week.

My advice: If it's super busy, Park at the Ski Bowl and go from there. There will be about 5 other cars in the Lot. No one will be skiing the Hudson Chair and they just opened it for the first time this season yesterday. Then again, it is the lowest elevation of the mountain. With today's warm temps and sun, you may have a gnarly sun crust with cooler temps tomorrow.

Couple of shots from this week:

Just got back from skiing Gore. Early morning started out miserable with lite rain and wind at the base, but by 11 am it was blue skies and was skiing great. A complete 180 turnaround. No crowds at all. Trees were great. First tracks down the headwall of Rumor.

Tomorrow should be nice as well.

I just read that the new tree area over at the ski bowl opened today, so parking over there may be a wise move.

I hope you don't think they're first tracks since the most recent storm

First tracks down the headwall! Sooo jealous. And no, I understand that the tracks in the woods are down. I just wanted to see how good it would be. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Have you hucked the cliff on the skiers left of Hellabaloo lately?

Last season! Lost my ski on the landing but managed to stay up. Maybe face it again tomorrow!

Thanks for the DL parking tip! I even rode the half pipe at the Ski Bowl. Sagamore was great, actually so great that I did nine laps! Snow was falling all day.

Nice! We used to hit that back in the day when it was bullet proof, had various results. One day we had a 30" pow day we hit it big and it was great. What about the terrain under the old gondi mid-station, does any ski that? Always thought there would be a few good lines in there when we got snow.

I skied the Gondola Mid-station Face once two years ago. It didn't have quite enough snow. Found it by accident. Due to my bad sense of direction, haven't been able to get back. With enough snow it would be good.

It's an awesome line. Nice 15ish foot cliff at the top with a nice steep landing.
For the most part, Gore has a dont-ask-don't-tell tree skiing policy. If you're caught at the old gondola line, though, they'll take your ticket in a heartbeat. Watch out for the live 240V line that runs right up the center of it.

It's all about the line under the new Gondola now. Foxlair to Sunway. That was balls deep on Thursday, and has a few nice sized drops on it.

Seems the line under the gondola is harder to get to this year. Lots of fences, ropes, and nets to go around.
