They ain't violins, they are meant to be skied.

Bring your good skis and then you will:

    A. Have an excuse to buy new skis next season.

    B. You will have a good pair of rock skis.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Hopefully they will get more tram terrain open soon. Big Sky Ski Patrol posted a photo on the gram yesterday of lots of in-bounds avalanche activity.

Thanks for the tram info. I lived in bozeman way back so am all too familiar with the andesite aka sandpaper glued to jagged rocks. In fact, a few trips ago out there I managed to break a bone in my hand on one. That freshened my memory a bit.

I saw a photo of the snowfield which was supposedly fairly recent. Literal rockfield. Like it looks like September in there.

The 1/2 inch of snow predicted for tonight will take care of those rocks in the NSS.

In other news, can I make a Monday reservation today? Trying for any skiing reservations I can get, currently. No tickets available and I was 30 minutes too late to the party today. Season pass, or season gamble?

Hard to believe it didn't improve with this recent cycle. I was hoping for some Snowfield and HW openings next week.

Ok, I'm a dummy. Pic I saw was of HW. Snowfield did apparently have some bad slides though and I'm guessing the crowns are big.

I had trouble right at 2, just made a reservation 5 minutes ago.

I remember back when the owner of Outaware used to have a school bus parked up in what is now the main lot. All was well until there was a full moon party that took advantage of the resort wood piles and burned about 3 cords in a bonfire seen from the Intl Space Station.

                              So it goes.
Haha! Reminds me of the time we did something similar down in town center. Could use a good ol raging bonfire with these temps. Disco was closed today due to cold. I remember BB letting us hike when wind chills on the ridge were -35 to -45F, wasnt too bad except transitioning before dropping.
