Was texted that the Tram opened at 10. Never heard another word so it must have been good. Steady NW winds and gusting at times say Dakota must have been good.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I've always figured that if a run would've been worth skinning an hour, I shouldn't bitch too much about standing in line that long.

At one point the PK line stretched all the way up the hill to the base of Bridger, and Bridger past the second tower.

10/10, well worth the wait. Didn't feel the bottom all day.

Thanks, patrollers, for getting the ridge open during the storm!

I poked my head in Snake Pit around 11:30. Still thin in spots but very few tracks and some of the deepest pockets I've skied all year. Kind of wondered if had even been open yet.

^^That looks really nice swimmy. Snake Pit has been open some days, but very thin. It's a great run, kind of overlooked IMO.

            Nice stoke all!

What a good freaking day. So good seeing the killer stoke photos from you guys.

Best thing I heard today: "At Bridger, people even social-distance their cars in the parking lot!"

They’ve been keeping cars safe long before the pandemic.

2012 Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread

What a crazy day. I was up at 7:30 and managed to snag a ticket around 8:15 am after the daily release.

I only had four runs, of which:

                    1. I came to a complete stop after sinking waaaay too deep and flat on an untouched run
                    2. Caught a tip and cartwheeled
                    3. Skied bottomless off the ridge
                    4. Had an untouched Bull Chute off the nose

Wild times looking at all the lines, but most folks were so stoked!

Dakota was closed all day. Winds were picking up at 330-430. Looking forward to a good Sat with tons of tourons

I'm also going to be at BS clogging lift lines, floundering around and stopping at the narrowest point on cat tracks. Ask for change.

Please try and gather your group right at the entrance to the lift maze, don't get in line though, just mill around and block the entrance. That seems to be the style these days.

Looking breezy on the Dark Side.
