Was hoping the Christmas and New Year’s rush would be the extent of Bridger’s reservation gridlock.
Question: is the 8 AM last-minute reservation still working these days?
In other news, I’ve just spent an amazing few days in the Tetons taking an AMGA guide course, and the technique down there is all the super rich folks are hiring ski instructors and resort guides so they can cut lines regularly, sometimes every time they ski. Total pay to play, and friends of mine are fully booked as instructors with regular clients who keep begging them to ski so they can snag freshies.
I’m quite happy that Bridger opts for an egalitarian approach with the rezzies, but I’m questioning whether it’s necessary from a health standpoint, or more from a logistics standpoint due to an influx of interest in passholders with time off.

I would say it's logistics because of health safety measures. From what I've noticed, it seems like they wouldn't be able to handle spaced out lift lines (especially with so many solo or double riders). From a health perspective, on a big cold pow day, the lodges are packed. Unfortunately, the patrol lodge gets slammed with injuries too (limited space in the patrol lodge). No encouraged carpooling/ski bus also puts a strain on parking.
Bozeman always has plenty of people with 'time off' when the snow is deep.
I've been watching areas within 5-6hrs of Missoula for this storm, now I have a work meeting that I can't miss. Hopefully this info can help others make a decision. All snow totals are from Tues/Weds/Thurs snow reports (morning report). Hope this helps someone make a good decision for the day
Lookout 11"
Silver Mtn 11"
Bridger 8"
Big Sky 7"
Snowbowl 7"
Discovery 7" (but I see another 6 on their webcam at 5am)
Lost Trail 6"
Maverick 6"
Whitefish 5" (but I see another 4 on their webcam at 5am)
Showdown 5"
Schweiter 5"
Blacktail 3" (reporting another 4 at 5am snow report)
Fun new game to entertain yourself and others while waiting for the lifts to spin. You hide one of USDAtele's poles or skis while he's in the lodge sipping hot chocolate. Wait for reaction when he emerges at 8:57. Great times!
I think that Bridger number is now more like 23" (and counting) since earlier this week. Appears to be dumping up there this morning.
Spot on with that number - they just added the 12" overnight to be 23" in the past 4 days (Bridger)
Showdown also reporting 12 - 17 for past 4 days
Disco added 11 - 18 total over 4 days
You know what's dumb? Having an appointment at 10:40am today that I can't reschedule. I wonder if the cell signal is strong enough at BB to make a zoom call from the parking lot?

Does anyone who will be at bridger sunday have any interest in showing a first timer around? I can ski most things but have a feeling I will be humbled by most BB skier's abilities.

Don’t forget Teton Pass, since you listed almost all other MT areas
They got 10-12” last night. Finally, a storm since November that doesn’t skirt them completely. And they are slated to keep getting it thru the weekend also.
Poor Great Divide w only an inch
