A farewell to maggots

For many years we have included a sticky to Meet the Maggots to impress upon the guest the importance of these forums.

The collective has seen endless friendships launched, couples married, and sadly, seen maggots pass as well.

For many of us the wounds of losing our friends will never heal. Some were taken doing the exact activities that have brought us together, leaving a profound and ironic sting, while other members of good standing have simply departed.
The community feels both losses, and it's our intention to dedicate this subforum for the purpose of memorializing the maggots that are fondly and forever missed.

While we hope to keep the number of these threads down by playing it safe, we also know that none of us get out of here alive. If you have memories to share, please feel free to do so, so that these threads can remain fitting tributes to forever inspire from their stoke, laughter, kindness, and adventure they brought the community.

If we have missed any Maggots Down that should also have been included, please also drop a pm or post so we can fix it.

Maybe a more industrious mag than I can link to [some of] the individual threads to get us started. It just occurs to me that our previous fallen family has to each their own thread so we could link here. Is that ghoulish? I’m sorry if so, obv not my intent.

Condolences to all who have lost friends and loved ones. And TBH, aren’t our friends also ‘loves ones’ anyway? [emoji20]

This is a work in progress, but I'm glad for a place to start.

An option could be another sticky where people can post pictures or links to TRs. That would allow us to keep the memorial threads mostly as they are.

Also, if we have missed anyone it was not intentional. Post any names, or send a pm and we'll make additions.

Yeah, sorry, I edited my comment, I thought this was a sticky under an already existing sub and based my suggestion upon that. sorry for the pollution of the sticky. Awesome idea!! They way I'd thought is way less cool (though still well-intentioned) than this!!
