Shims for ramp angle or lift for my racer kids

    Hey all

I’ve been reading that it’s beneficial to have the stack height close to the 50mm fis max for my girls racing skis. Additionally, it’s been recommended for their SG skis to increase the ramp angle to have heels 3mm taller than toes. Love to hear the ex and current racer thoughts on this.

depends on the person and the ankle (and other) range of motion.

Also the mounting point of the ski and the boots ramp/flex too.

worth trying to see what happens to the kid in a course and asking the coach, but NOT a magic bullet for sure

Are the kids getting checked for FIS rules on gear now?

The kids are spancered through Fischer and Nordica so I just get them through the reps.

They aren’t checking but still plan to follow the 50mm rule….they aren’t checking skis for flouro either but I’m not that parent…..
