    Sender Free 110

Anyone else getting time on these?

Initial impressions after 3x days. One no new snow day, one low vis pow storm day, one wind effected pow day. 184cm mounted on directional line, -2cm of rec.

Ski short. I’m confident I could ski the 191 no problems. fairly damp, not much pop/life in the cambered zone. extremely easy to ski, very intuitive, they just work no thinking required. Slashing very easy. Want to be skied from the centre of the ski more than driving the tip.

Pretty fun ski, not as impressive first impression as the BO118, but fun. Not powerful enough to blow through chop like the 118.

DD is 186cm Rossi Sickle and the SF110 feel like a snowblade on hard pack with the much shorter running length, rocker-camber-rocker design and more taper than the full reverse of Sickle.

The 21m turn radius is noticeable in pow, the ski wants to hook and turn a bit and needs to be directed into a longer radius. Easy to correct/adapt but this doesn’t happen with the Sickle despite the same radius.

Great work ski. don’t have to think about skiing at all, they just do what I want. Easy to run a Tbog in deep pow. No issues in bumps. Very rocky at Kicking Horse and so far no issues with damage.

Got these to try them out as I was very curious. The HL FR110 has a good chance of replacing them next winter. See what Marshall comes up with.

Thanks for the review! See you’re -2cm on the 184cm but curious of your size.

Think this ski will be like the BO 118 in that the factory line is too far forward for more traditional style skiers. Wouldn’t doubt most on here will prefer the directional line(or even -1cm back from it) on the Sender 110.

5’9.5, 135. Pretty light guy but ski with some decent speed and power. And in the summer it just means the heli can carry a bit more fuel! The Rec line is only -3 or so of true centre and the directional line feels pretty good too me. I think my BO118 are also around -5 of tc.

I’m 6’2”/175 and also -2.5cm/-5cm total on my BO 118 and wouldn’t want to be any closer to Center.
My 184cm 21 CT 3.0 which are VERY similar spec to the Sender 110(just 112mm underfoot) are -1.5cm from the -5cm CT mark and are perfect. My 190cm 21 CT 3.0 are also similarly mounted and feel great too.

Betting the “sweet spot” on the Sender 110 will be -2cm to -3cm from the 3.5cm back Rec.

Agree with all of this. I had the 184s mounted -1.5 from rec, and ended up selling them and ordering the 191s. Will probably mount those -1.5 or -2. I liked how they skiied, but the 184s just felt way too short in all conditions. Super easy and intuitive. Hoping the 191s will offer more power for blowing through chop and crud, and just more stability overall. I doubt it’ll feel like a BO118 in this regard though. Seems like there are a lot of mixed feelings about this ski. I’ve really liked both the BO118 and the 187 Sender TI, and it does feel like a blend of those two skis - though closer to the Sender TIs than the BO118s, minus the mount point.

i wish there was a 187/8/9 instead of them making the jump from 184 to 191. Still looks interesting as an all-purpose, no frills do-it-all kind of ski

Anyone pull straight tape on them? I bet it tapes at a 188-9.

Thanks, should have looked up straight-tape measurements before asking.

yeah, that is unless you were in fact talking about a 187/8/9 ski from most brands that would usually measure in at 185/6/7 straight pull, not 189.5

But weird that the 184 is 181.5 straight pull (so 3cm shorter) with a 8cm jump to the 191s 189.5 (1.5cm shorter). Thank you marketing department!

I am looking forward to see if Blister finds that there is MF108 type dynamic going on with them, or if they ski more similarly - just scaled.

I've gotten a good weeks worth of riding on my 184's both here in Breck and at a trip to Bridger Bowl last week. For me being 6' 180lbs, they're a touch shorter than what I usually ski but I actually enjoy that it's my shorter big mtn ski (I have 191 Revolt 114's for my big ski) especially somewhere like bridger with all the tight spaces.

I mounted on the rec line as I wanted this to be more jib friendly and got exactly what I wanted as a grew up more of a freestyle skier but have gravitated to more freeride/big mtn the last few years. I flexed my local reps 191 and its way different than the 184, much stiffer feeling for sure and honestly I'd love to have a pair in each size for different uses.

Overall I don't find the ski as composed in super choppy/chalky snow as the Rev114, but damn if it isn't nimble feeling to help correct lines much easier. So really pick your poison there but I'm very happy with the ski, it's just super fun and predictable without sacrificing too much backbone.

Neat! How is this ski compared to the 106 Black Ops Sender Ti?

Blister dropped their full review of the Sender Free 110 today. Like the Blackops 118, they confirmed my suspicions that the Directional(-2cm) mount area is where I’d want to be on a set of them.

Rossignol has added a new ski to their freeride lineup, the Sender Free 110, which combines elements of their Sender & Blackops skis
