I’m on the 190, I sometimes get behind it in firm bumps and the ski lets me know I’m being a b*tch

I’ve got the WC 108 too and it hasn’t seen snow at all this January… the DW 104 carves way mo betta than the WC 108
I ski more tight trees than open terrain but I'm 6'3, 200lbs. Still think 184?

Seems like 190 for sure at that height and weight unless you regularly size down.

I'm 6'2" / 180. I'm on the 184 mostly because i end up skiing a lot of bumps and regularly with a sled.

If i was freeskiing them all the time i'd go 190 I think. But i don't think the 184s would be way too short.

          Brundo,

I am 6’4” and 210 and am finally clicking with the 190 DW 104 and no Fing way would I want to go shorter…. It is fast edge to edge and holds an edge like a mother… I think it is a breeze to ski and bumps are no issue…. Have not had them in trees but would have no worries as I think the DW skis short with the mount point and major kicked up tail…. Shit I wish it came in a 193…. No way would I want to go 184…

            I’m 6’1 200lbs…..even in trees, I’ve never really considered downsizing….cuz these ski/blast so well on/through everything else.

            -188 C98
            -191 Katana
-190 DW (haven’t skied yet, but assuming they will be great….lol)

I ski the regular deathwish at 5'11" 175lbs and have never felt the 190 is too long. They ski pretty short. Have no trouble in west coast tight trees. East coast woods would be a different story

Thanks all, I'll be on the lookout this summer for some 190s or maybe just buy some 2022s over the summer. I've got the DWTs in a 190 and wish I would have gone 184 (anyone want to size up?) but for touring I'm always in the trees, never in chop, and rarely rarely in the wide open, plus it'd save some weight. I agree that the 190 is the right move for resort tho

A few folks have mentioned having a concave base/other finishing issues with new Moments. I just picked up some DW104s--do I need to have the shop grind and do the bevels straight away? I confess I didn't even look at the bases when they arrived.

I would not do it without checking. My other pairs of moment had a great factory tune.

My DW104s were perfect out of the box, but always check no matter the ski/manufacturer IMO.

Anybody got a 188 C98 from 2020-21 that you wanna sell me?? Por favor.

Will pay you cash dollars or would be willing to trade you for my 190 Deathwish Tour. (I'll probably be selling the DWT and getting the Commander Tour).
                        sproing!

Seconded! Super curious about the new C98 and would love to hear more people's experience on it compared to other ~100mm-wide metal laminate skis.

Been thinking about it as a low-tide ski for the Wasatch (where it hasn't snowed in a month) - to be used 80% off-trail

Same size and hard agree. Loving the 190s. Took my bc120s out on a sneaky powder night, but it quickly got chewed up and I was very happy I had the DW104's as backup. Switched to those and had no problem the rest of the night in open chopped fields, bumps, groomers, and they handled quite nicely in the untouched trees until I started getting tired.

I’ve got a basically mint pair (one day - too much overlap for me with DW) of 20/21 WCT 190 with Shift 13s on the line at 312BSL, un-cut Pomoca Climb Pro S Glide skins and ski crampons for the Shift I’m going to be off-loading if anyones interested PM me. Thinking 1k for the whole setup is fair - just posted to GearSwap.
