How do I mail skis without a ski box?

Anyone have a good hack that doesn't involve a specific ski box?

Get a bunch of smaller boxes, cut them apart and wrap them around the skis. Tape the shit out of them, take measurements and buy postage.

You can get free boxes from the dumpster out back behind the liquor store.

Where are you located? I have a box for you if you're in southern WI

otherwise... lucknau's suggestion to build your box has worked for me

when I lived in AK I mailed flat skis a couple times just wrapped in paper then wrapped in tape - no box, no problem -

Pretty much any ski shop will give you a box for a beer or a bud this time of year.

I think I have shipped an empty ski box or two to maggots in the past

                    Step [emoji637] - cut a hole in a box.

Just tape the skis together and wrap with cardboard and tape well.

I've gotten skis that were mummified in bubble wrap. Worked pretty well.

                          Yes. This is the way.
I have ski boxes because of my addiction. But when you flat wrap them it actually costs less.
You get charged more for girth.

Cardboard between skis. Then ghetto wrap and tape.
                          It’s the way.

The only reason for a box is if the skis have bindings. And even then you can bubble wrap the bindings and ghetto cardboard over that.

But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers

Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

reminds me of the first pair of skis I shipped myself years ago, used 4 random boxes and a lot of tape, came out looking like I was shipping a barrett 50 cal.
