    Barn Find OG

Minty minty mint pair of OG Pontoons
    2009 k2 pontoon
    189cm
    Massive rocker with 0 issues
Mounted with some STH for a huge BSL like 335 mm
Bought them but then I came across another deal that fit the quiver better

These are the nicest “used” skis I’ve ever seen

    Pics later tonight

    $400 shipped

    Price police if I’m off

I sold a pair of pon2oons with sth here about a year ago for $300. You might get $400 from someone who really wants them

Oh man that reminds me I have a set of those haha. I need to get them out this weekend if we get the predicted storm. I always kinda forget about them and just take GPOs for anything fresh. Total clown shoes.

Yes you can… OG P[emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]ns are absolute hover craft, much better than the next gen [emoji638]oons. if I hadn’t already scored the pair I have now a month ago I would be saying “dibs”. This is the one pair of skis I’ve let go of in the last decade that I had sellers remorse afterwards.

Have you skiied the 132 hellbent with the psycho clowns/lumber jacks? How would these relate? You’re the first person I’ve heard say the gen 1 is better than the pon2oons. What about the gen 1 is better?

I need to go to Utah.
                        Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Obviously this is subjective and YMMV… However, I found the Gen 1s to have better float, as well as a looser feel (when you want it), more maneuverable. I think the pon2oons were maybe a better all around ski for “all-day” conditions, but i never gelled with them and eventually let them go, transitioning to the Lotus-120. For me this (gen 1) was a total quiver stick for a specific set of conditions and I would just switch out to another ski as the day progressed (if needed). Generally speaking though, if you are relegated to lower angle terrain due to avalanche or snow conditions, gen 1s are hover craft compared to anything else. I know people who tour on them in those conditions. I have limited experience on the Hellbent, that ski had a lot more splay at the tail whereas the gen 1 had some splay plus a pin tail to get the end result it did.

FWIW, most of the time I spent on those skis was PNW/SW CO.

You have any suggestions on mount location? Rec line?
