    PSA support the Japanese economy

The Yen isn’t doing great against the USD. Help our Japow brethren out by shopping the Montebell Japan website https://en.montbell.jp/products/.

The sizing is a bit different so cross check the actual measurements with measurements of pieces that fit you.

Thanks for the really important PSA. Ueda needs all the help he can get. Secular trends aside, the market's test of Kuroda late last year may not have been successful but IMO it revealed a definite shakiness in the BOJ's fundamental bargaining position.

If JPY breaks 150 that will be an all butts in (airplane) seats situation. We will all need to go to Hokkaido to help out. Echoes of the assistance we provided in 1945-52.

Montbell sure makes nice down-filled products. I have to admit I had no idea it's a Japanese company.

How does the Japanese fit compare to the US? I see they sell US-fit products on the Japan site which is cool. Their US fit runs on the small side, I'm usually a medium but Montbell US large fits me well.

It depends on the person and item. Sometimes size up, sometimes stay the same. Check the measurements of what you want with measurements of something similar that fits you.

I would also second CirqueScaler’s recommendation that these short term stimuli be followed up with more substantive in-person economic interventions in a 6-7 month timeframe. #SaveJapan

Bumping for favorable conditions for economic stimuli. It doesn’t get much better than 145 yen to usd.

It could be a bumpy road ahead so most economists recommend a modest stimulus now and a more significant one in 5 months.

I've heard good things. Elastic supposed to be cool. Never owned one.

They have been around forever, works fine, I think the ratings are decently conservative. Never heard a bad thing about montbell.

Plug for KS-ultralight gear if you’re looking for a UL backpacking backpack. Fully custom and amongst the very lightest. Don’t let the website scare you, lol, they are top notch packs. The exchange rate is just a bonus.
