Sorry, I didn't know what the big number was, so I threw out a big number. Hey, over 4 billion, what's the dif? Although, if you really want to go big, include all the humans who ever lived.

I'll do that. but, unfortunately, the close to skiing market barely blipped in '08 (lucky Harry) and has been on this rocket ship that everything else is on right now for well over a decade. I suspect it will be even stronger if and when (and, who the fuck knows) there is another "crash". Besides, there were plenty of localized crashes before '08, but they never go the attention of the Grand Kahuna, the first time prices dropped nationwide, hell, internationally, at the same time. I suspect that there will be deals to be had in smaller markets. the stupid shit in Driggs, or Boise, for instance, or anywhere in Vermont. Kinda like in the 90s, and the people who I worked with in Manhattan in the 90s who bought fringe, like Queens and Jersey, got nailed when the tide went out, and stayed underwater for years.

Yep. I know of one such person that went this route at a former company I was employed at. He was already worth a decent 8 figure sum before he got paid to take the fall for some shady accounting practices.

Dude, the whole point is, skins and sleds need what is now a very expensive base, with a garage.

I bought at the bottom, but, in a not too cool place. But, it was the bottom, not the top.

I don't think you get it. You said "I suspect that there will be deals to be had in smaller markets. the stupid shit in Driggs, or Boise, for instance, or anywhere in Vermont." There are a lot places where you might not be be able to scam pocket meats from five star breakfast buffets but a sled and some skins will access some of the deepest snow you'll ever ski.

I just love it when Benny decides to educate all the rest of the folks here. Its usually good for 2-4 days of amusement.

                  Please, tell me more.

                      For Benny, probably.

                        Where? All ears.

Last place I found was Driggs. Poof, gone.

The adventure is in the journey. As a global local, you should be able to find the nirvana I described no problem.

Plus, you're the one who said there would be deals to be had in Driggs so your hunt might already be over. If not, I'll give you hint, there probably won't be a mega resort next to it.

                              Always negative with you...

Why would I list a bunch of semi-reasonably affordable places with access to pow (if you're willing to skin) that will certainly come down in the next crash for an old, out-of-state, curmudgeon who thinks they need an ikon pass to ski? Plus, if I did give you some ideas, you'd find something wrong with them before ever visiting anyway.
