Crazy Shit from my Home Town

Moved from Chicago to New Mexico 12 years ago but like to keep in touch.
    Found this:
A garbage collector shot two armed robbers, killing one, outside a Chicago elementary school on Friday morning. Police said the victim, 28, is licensed to carry a concealed firearm.

    And then this:
Surveillance video has emerged showing a garbage collector with a concealed carry license shooting two would-be robbers as he worked outside a Chicago elementary school on Friday. Police said one of the robbers was killed and the other was critically injured, but the armed sanitation worker was not harmed.

Some thoughts; who the F robs an on-duty garbageman?!
Seriously, who does this?! I mean what are you hoping for? The dudes lunch money?
Talk about a messed up risk/reward ratio. You lose your life for what, $20 if you're lucky. Split between the two of you?
Best part of this story is that the headline basically writes itself:
"LOCAL GARBAGEMAN TAKES OUT THE TRASH"

Having spent a few decades in chirac i feel the pain. Used to be a fun city. Just don’t go where you don’t belong

CWBChicago is a reader-funded public safety news outlet focusing on crime and criminal court proceedings in Chicago.

A sad website dedicated to the shitshow

It’s I bonds and probation. Not the immigrants. Little Pilsen was always chill. Something changed on the thug side.

PS? Toe land? Is that you?
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

      What changed?
      This is what changed:
Santiago Josue Baragas Rodriguez, a Venezuelan migrant arrested 13 times in a year, received the old “good news, bad news” treatment at the 26th and California courthouse on Thursday. The good news? A judge gave him probation for trying to rob a woman in Streeterville in November. The bad news? Since he pleaded guilty, he’s now eligible for deportation.

I'm not talking about him being an illegal alien. That's a whole separate issue I'm not going to get into.
I'm talking about him being arrested 13 separate time in one year and still on the streets. A liberal "justice" system that's destroying another once-great city.

This site always paints a fairly sobering view of the city:

Illustrating the Chicago Values of Crime, Murder & Mayhem with comprehensive charts, precise graphs and exhaustive data sets of Chicago stupidity.

That place elected Lori Lightfoot as mayor, what did they expect to happen?

Great Dip Dish pizza though. When you don't fertilize the seedlings, you get a lousy crop.

What do you expect, when the state moto is "it fell of the truck".

Trump just pardoned Rod Blagojevich, who was on his show.

I think this tells us everything we need to know about Trump. Corruption is a feature not a bug.

And then when they kicked her out, they elected her male clone.

A liberal, soft-on-crime mayor. A liberal, soft-on-crime legislature, who all appoint liberal, soft-on-crime judges. But a conservative President is the real problem.
                        Spoken like a true liberal.
