    Such a great actor.

    Kunta Kinte
Admiral Fitzwallace on the West Wing

And his greatest role, the owner of McDowell's in Coming to America!

    RIP Mr Amos.

            Gordy on Mary Tyler Moore

I still recall being shellshocked when his character on Good Times was killed off

His pairing w Stacy Keach as gay couple on Two and A half men was pretty good too

            Rip to a great actor

Let’s not forget The Beastmaster. He was great in everything he did. It’s sad there seems to be some nutty family drama surrounding his final days and his death. Some of his kids found out he passed on the news a month and a half later? Yikes

                  Thank you
Thought I was the only one who remembered that to the point of doubt when it wasn't mentioned; but to be fair the many times I have seen Beastmaster were always clouded by youth or drugs or the intersection thereof....
                  RIP badass actor.

I listened to this during a long drive yesterday; really great stuff. Even if you can’t stand Gilbert Gottfried the vast majority is John Amos telling lots of stories about his extremely interesting life, including his football career. About 75 minutes.

The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.
