Trade compensation has been crazy this offseason - can’t believe how little teams are getting for guys like Diggs, Burns, Snead, etc

Houston got a lot better. Bills got substantially worse.

Diggs really dropped off the the second half of last season. He also had a huge drop in the KC playoff game.
His playoff numbers the last 3 years have been brutal. Last playoff TD, 2021 vs Balt.

I chalked most of that up to having a super weak group of receivers around him. Teams could completely focus on taking Diggs out without suffering much damage from the other receivers. That drop against KC… that one was pure karma for talking too much.

I think the Bills were sick of the drama. They weren’t going to resign him after this year, so at least they got something.

Well then, to answer the question posed by the title of this thread I guess Houston is gonna have to stop the Chiefs.

The Texassicans are looking shockingly good. Stacked at WR, Mixon carrying and catching balls out of the backfield, Good TE and OL.. Defense getting FA additions, and they still have three draft picks in the top 100, and two fourth round picks.

If CJ stays healthy, look out AFC.

They should send a fruit basket to Cleveland as a thank you gesture.

Is anybody else baffled by the full details of the Diggs trade? With the contract change for him it's really a second rounder for a 1 year Diggs rental, right? I don't think that seems like a great deal. Just me?

It's a performance incentive. He's got one year to show what he's worth.

dont bug me a bit if they leave, fuck em. KC proper has supported that team for decades thorugh thick and thin, go fucking cry to another city to build you a complex.

Sure. That's what everyone keeps saying. But for Houston, they traded a round 2 pick for a 1 year rental on Diggs. He's a free agent after this year. He could go anywhere. I think it's a terrible decision by Houston. 2nd round picks are valuable not just for the player you get but the fact that you get them on the rookie wage scale for years.

When the texassicans win the AFC, Diggs might just want to stick around, and Houston should have the money to pay him. If Diggs turns out to be deadwood like the haters are saying, Houston is only stuck with him for a year.

I don’t get how the Bills get a $31m dead cap hit for a guy they traded. Is that negotiated?
