I coax the little ones like this guy. He or she is a beautiful red with these cool black and white ear markers. It lounges regularly on the deck.

The big ones, not so much.

^^^^ Amazing shot with the deer and owl.
We've got a bunch of owls, but they sure don't stay put when they know they've been seen.

          Thanks
That's Bubo (the clockwork owl from Clash of the Titans), he's an 8 inch Northern Pygmy Owl
He hung out for about a week and you could get really close to him

            Cool thread.

I've got this guy hanging out on a branch over the pond out back and had no clue what it is. Turns out there's a lot of websites that make it really easy to identify birds. Never seen one like this before and thought it was a cross between a woodpecker and a blue jay that was plucking fingerling bass out of the water with ease.

            Apparently it's a Belted Kingfisher.
I still call it The Jake.

Local elk herd. They come out and pose at the end of almost every day.

A few people feel the rain. Most people just get wet.

An oldie (2006-ish), but a goodie: Caught a moose taking an evening swim across Lake of the Woods near Kenora.

Awesome shot! In my book, one of the coolest birds in nature along with the Peregrine and Golden Eagle. Grew up on the Delaware River and had several local Kingfishers that used amaze me with the size fish they could catch/fly off with.

I usually see a lot of wildlife when out walking the dogs. Stumbled on a nest of owlets last summer on the desert. Not so cute but kind of cool.
