Mexico definitely better, but I like how the US showed themselves, and it is, kind of, their B team, so getting six games in a competitive tournament is really gonna help them.

The pyro tech show had the Houston indoor field in a fucking haze the entire game...so dumb. Then the sideline bimbo says it's really hazy, but they're not breathing in any smoke.

That Diallo darby-winning goal was awesome, that kid is turning into a player. Anorim benching Rashford and Garnacho seemed to work out. Feels like they&rsquo;re moving the ball better than during the Ten Hag era.

Stoked for the next two years of world soccer coming to ATL with the EPL Summer Series, Club World Cup in a few weeks followed up by the World Cup next year. I should be able to luck into a match or two and will be stoked to take my soccer crazed son.

I have to admit that part of me still expected Madrid to pull it out today. That's what happens when you have talent and moxie. I have to give Arsenal credit, after Saka blew that penalty it looked like things would change, but to there credit they didn't panic.

Man City simply keep blowing it.

In one sense I see this one a bit differently. From my viewing, and I have been working while listening/watching the game, so not paying attention to every detail, it seemed that Madrid were probably the better team today. This is in contrast to the tie last spring, when I thought Man City were clearly better despite Madrid moving on, here I thought Madrid were probably better.
But despite Madrid being better, these last two goals were howlers. Ederson absolutely blew that save on goal 2. On the third goal, Lewis absolutely screwed up, and Ederson compounded the problem. Man City just can&#39;t finish games out. There are some serious underlying issues for one of the most talented teams in the world.

You can call Mbappe&#39;s goal lucky, but he had been menacing all game. When you keep on attacking and creating chances you sometimes get lucky.

Had Man City been able to close this one out, and they really should have, it would have been an example of great players overcoming a game where the team was generally outplayed. Haaland&#39;s first goal was great holdup play, great teamwork and an excellent finish. The penalty was Foden being a great player, getting into the box and getting taken down, and Haaland finishing. In a sense, this is a blueprint for how great teams win when they are outplayed, a couple of good moments from world class players, but Man City can&#39;t close anyone out right now.
Obviously, something is wrong with this team, and with Pep. At a certain point it can&#39;t be random. I watched the Arsenal came, and those first two goals came on massive Man City errors. So many of these goals are just huge mistakes. It doesn&#39;t make sense.
