    Shit that annoys you

    So what annoys you?

For me it one of them is kids menus. They always have the blandest good, because most people assume kids have a bland taste. Also when you're getting off an airplane and someone bad is stuck in the overhead and they keep on trying to pull it out, holding everyone up. Oh and bad snowboarders.

    So what grinds your gears?

No wonder you're sad, old, and alone.

Actually, kids have more acute taste buds than adults. Ergo the blander menu. At 14 (?) maybe talk you parents into letting you order from the regular menu.

Personally, people passing on the right to be one car ahead of where they were is what pisses me off lately.

People who confuse cowardice with fear. Cowardice should be reserved for labelling something a man displays. What passes through his mind is his own affair.

I also am annoyed by everyone at the Closerie de Lilas incessantly nitpicking about Germans. "Germans cannot properly appreciate a sunset" or "Germans are terrible tippers." It can go on for hours.

The German race has plenty of character flaws without having to imagine any additional ones.

Sorry I didn't specify that I haven't ordered from the kids menu since when I was eight. I just remember it pissing me off.

Is there an emoticon that says "Just bustin' your balls, kid."

When the engine blew on my dump truck a few weeks back, someone tried to pass me via the breakdown lane as I was moving in. Saw her bewildered expression in my review. Pretty sure she was OK.

EH raising the discourse again. Well done sir, whomever you may be.

                          however,

[QUOTE]In an epigraph at the beginning of War, Sebastian Junger quotes Lord Moran in The Anatomy of Courage, where he writes, “By cowardice I do not mean fear. Cowardice … is a label we reserve for something a man does. What passes through his mind is his own affair.”[QUOTE]

So, maybe one alias won't suffice but keep 'em coming by all means.

Based on the woeful level of grammar and punctuation around here, I did not suspect footnotes were required.

Mr. Junger has no doubt written the finest of all books - one I wish I had written!
