    Skinning music?

Anyone have any tips for good skinning music? Something that helps you get into a rhythm, that helps you walk and your mind to empty, you know, meet the buddha type feeling. I don't have any music that is good like this.

Thought some trance or something like that would be good but don't really know where to start (and I started by searching ). Any suggestions would be cool as long as they aren't country. Thanks

    And to iskibc: no.

I don't care what you skin to as long as I don't have to listen to it.

I'm usually trying to hear any clues of the infamous "Whoomp!"

"Working in a Coal Mine" by Devo (for that matter "Whip it" would be good too)

Fair enough point. I should clarify that I don't listen to music when skinning somewhere I perceive myself to be at risk from avys. That would be asking for me to be naturally deselected... Music is more for the long, mellower tours and spring stuff (and not any steeper stuff).

It's the big spring tours when I really need da beats to help with da rhythm. I'll check that stuff out, thanks KQ.

James McMurtry - "Every Little Bit Counts" would be a nice mellow walking tune.

If I am trying to go fast and hard, I listen to Public Enemy: Fear of a Black Planet.
If I am out for a mellow tour or a long daydreaming slog, I like the Mountain Goats.

Kewl, thanks, the inet connection will be buzzing tonight.

About electronica - I found some great tunes at www.audiodregs.com One of the songs on the Helly Hansen freebe DVD (the Collins segment) was from there. Good stuff.

Salmonella dub, the album "inside the dubplates"

Nice groove. One of my all time favorite albums.
