    Halloween in Grand Junction/Fruita

    We left this at home:

    To hit up this:

We never were able to confirm if Daywalker's suit was for Halloween or not:

3 tiny little riders above the rim

    Daywalker

    My lurker man

    Daywalker scaring himself a little...

But he goes back up and pulls it out

Strong effort, but he proceeded to eat sand about 1 second later

Great trip, great crew -- can't wait for another helping soon...

LaBelle, great pics. I see the one drop on Free Lunch that I always chicken out on (maybe Daywalker shouldve ;-) ). I dont recognize the rest of the pictures, what trail(s) are they from?

The first set is from horsethief/mary's loop/mack ridge/moore fun on Saturday and then we did the ribbon to free lunch to holy cross on Sunday. The pic with the snow starts the set of pics from the ribbon ride. It had just melted out and dried up for the most part -- the slog from the creek bed up to little park rd would have been hardly passable the day before.

To Daywalker's credit the landing on that drop was really soft from the moisture. A bunch of the guys rolled up to it about 10 times only to stop short, but he actually hit it.

we tried to ride it last thursday but it was disastrous. I even attempted shouldering my bike and walking until the trail got higher and potentially dry... no such luck. i guess i'll have to make yet another long trip from Maine to ride the gnarly grand junction stuff!

I like chicks who ride. Especially if they're cyclists.

I know I should be getting revved up to stoke on snow but... I won't be back to Utah until January and... I'm really jonesin' to ride Lunch Line and King Kong, takers?

pnut; great shot of Capone with the trees in the foreground, beautiful job of framing.

Anyway, shot of my friend catching air with Bolivian Chulita's in the background.

So many good pics in here. Making the transition from dirt to snow that much harder.

More Lunch Loops action--down below Free Lunch on Puckerup 2 weeks ago. Two angles of the same drop. I freaking love these trails.

Come on Dobish....where did you ride?

Guess I should throw a pic up so not to be lame like Dobish. This is from Golden this spring....things were nice and green.

Things are starting to get good. Been out about 10 times or so and still hoping for a chair lift shaped saddle.

29ers are weird. It's fun though...the geo is exactly right for me for XC riding. Not as steep as other 29ers I've tried. For the buff XC trails around here, I wouldn't change anything. I've got Bag's Reign X for the shuttles around here and it seems like a really good two bike quiver. I built it up heavy so I doubt I'll be undergunned on anything except the stuff I'm too scared to ride anyway.
