    Wahoo/Speedplay Spring/snapring

Anybody know a source for replacement springs? I don't really feel like buying new cleats to secure a set of snap rings.

It should be a standard 1/2" circlip.
My local Ace Hardware have them, or any good fastener store, or you can order them from McMaster-Carr:
McMaster-Carr is the complete source for your plant with over 595,000 products. 98% of products ordered ship from stock and deliver same or next day.

The Speedplays have a little different shape on the inside of the arc to receive the pedals also, the nub on the outside to set the pedal float. Next time Im at my shop Im going to try out some standard snap rings. We have everything from 3mm to 21cm. There has to be something that will work with a little grinding and modification. I cannibalized all of my old Speedplay cleats this morning and retrieved four rings.

Are you sure they are not a regular circlips?
Here's a photo from a body rebuild kit with 1/2" clips.

It's a specially made clip. The nub locks in your float and there is extra meat to accept the bonnets on the pedal. Speedplay (Wahoo) doesn't sell clips individually. Bastards.

            CLEAT, oh on the Cleat!
I’m missed that one word in your original post and was so confused about a snap ring being specific to speed play.
You’re rebuilding the cleat, not the pedal.
            Never mind all my comments.
