Yep...but if you choose "online," the Spur will show up. But a guy from MD wrote (on mtbr) that he tried to buy a Spur from EVO and was denied. He said EVO told him EVO wouldn't ship.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Has anyone ridden the Forbidden Druid or Deviate Highlander? I'm super curious about both of them...

Have you tried a mullet set up? Might be worth a try. I find it jas the best of both worlds. Still quick in the turns but the front wheel doesnt get hung up as ez. Especially on steep tranditions, it just rolls through. If the chainstay length is exceptable its much cheaper to convert a 9er to mullet than buying a fork and wheel for a 27.5. I cant think of any drawbacks off hand but maybe im missing something
I still wouldnt mind a 27.5 set up but thatd probably be a bike with shorter travel that id drop down a size as kind of a slower speed play bike

Anyone know if/when the Honzo ESD will be available? Seen any in the wild? Haven't heard back from dealers yet.

I contacted my local dealer about the frame only and they said they are expecting some in October

Geo charts show a 27.5 Small through XL.

I didn't want to start a new thread, and thought this one is most appropriate for my question. What would be your preference between the 2021 Trance X (alum) mentioned earlier in this thread vs a nearly new 2019 Smuggler carbon NX build? Sort of apples to oranges. The Trance would get a number of parts swapped/upgraded to either full SLX 7120 or GX/Code. Price comes out to about ~$3,200 for either. The Smuggler could get an angle set or 150mm fork to get a slightly slacker HA. Both would be a little over 30 lbs.

Resale is usually something I take into consideration. The limited rear tire clearance on the Smuggler is a concern. I do prefer the threaded BB and external rear brake line on the Smuggler. No warranty on the Smuggler. I've thought about the Ripmo AF, but seems to be a bit on the heavy side. YT Jeffsy Comp was considered, but all sold out. Anything else I should consider in the $3k range?

I would take a smuggler over any bike in giant's lineup.

Thanks. I would be building something frame up as I’ve done in the past, but good used parts are getting hard to find this year.

I don't know if these would be considered 2021...or really any year, but there's some pretty cool stuff in here:

We’re proud to manufacture our rims and wheelsets by hand in Ogden, Utah, USA. At ENVE, everything related to our rim and wheel production is under the roof of our new state-of-the-art facility: manufacturing, assembly, design, R&D, our test lab, customer support and the business team.

As a road nerd, I think I like the Bastion best:

2021 Polygon Siskiu T looks promising. Current geometry, SLX 12-spd, and Fox for $2,300. I haven't been able to find info on weight.

Blending both performance & comfort, Polygon Siskiu T is a dual-suspension MTB designed to navigate any tracks with no hassle.
