Been on the E version of the ZEB for 6 months on my Bullit and no complaints

before that I had a fox 36 on my 5.5 so I like them both and couldn't say I like one better than the other

I’m specifically asking about the new forks with the updated damper and buttercup things, which only dropped like a month ago. Did you have early access to the new new, or are you referring to what is now the previous generation of Zeb?

          Ask the experts

          Brake pad replacements?

Are the “fancy” pads better than OEM? (MTX)

Are the “cheap” pads worse than OEM? (Truckerco)

          What’s the move?

          Anyone tried Miles Racing Pads?

          (Magura MT7s)

In my experience, Magura's pads are made out of the same buttery material as XTR cassettes. They work well, but don't last very long at all. Trickstuff pads for Magura are crazy powerful but disappear even faster. I like MTX on my Codes but haven't tried them on Maguras.

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I buy lots of the Truckerco pads cause they are cheap as shit and have worked really well for me the last 3 years. They’re quiet and the add a little bit more modulation to my shimano brakes. For the price they are tough to beat.

Truckerco for me too. Buy them in 4-packs (8 pads) and they're really cheap.

Can i put a 12 speed sram drivetrain on an 11 speed XD driver? Will i need a new chainring too? Internet seems to say yes, but I’m never confident in my findings.
                    I want that 52 tooth!

XD driver is 11 and 12s capable.
The tooth profile on 11s and 12s chainrings are cross compatible. They just designed the 12s a little different for better chain retention. But if you look at 3rd party chainrings they list them as 11s and 12s compatible.

Hey riff what is your front chainring? Unless you need a new cassette, you can often achieve similar gearing ratios by shrinking chainring down to 28, if it fits.

I run a 30 up front and prefer the 10-50 cassettes over the 52s to keep the 1-2 ratio jump more reasonable. Downsizing up front just gives you more options on the low end, which I prefer. You can spend more in second or even third and keep fist for a true bail-out gear. Maybe I'm a wuss but I NEVER run out of top end on dirt with a 30, prolly be fine with a 28 too.

                              30 x 11-42 currently, on a 9’er. Probably a 11-50 would be plenty….

If you run out of top end often with an 11/30, you simply aren’t really ‘trail riding’ as much as you should be. (As in you are probably on dirt roads, gravel, or asphalt).
I run a 30/51 on the trail bike, and a 28/51 on the piggy.
