I'm not so sure about gangbusters, but at least there will be swell in the water. By mid September I'm expecting a little more activity starting to spin in the NPAC. All measures suggest that we will have a very good autumn.

Yeah I might have had a couple beers at pizza port before I posted but head high and kids back in school is gangbusters to me

Went to San-o yesterday and paddled from dog patch to Lowers, caught a couple waves at Church on the 12' monster and saw some cool fish & shit along the way. Was going to try for a wave at Lowers but the crowd did not look too friendly

PW7, where was that picture taken of you parked on the beach? Is it a good place to launch kayaks? Heading to Newport Friday to paddle around with the wife and looking for easy beach access.

End of the road right before the tits at San-o and yes for sure. You can launch pretty much anything from there.

Newport harbor is another good place to paddle though, floating up and down billionaire row is always entertaining

Thanks PW7 Looked it up and now know where that's at. Nice how the you can park right next to the water. Probably dropping in at NorthStar beach and cruising Millionaire Mile tomorrow. Have a great weekend!

ott - I'll be up your way thanksgiving week. GF and I doing a trip up the coast for 9 days. Not a surf trip, but I'm gonna bring a board I think. SD > Big Sur > Carmel > Pt Reyes > Napa > Humboldt > SF > Carmel > Big Sur > SD. We have friends to stay with in Carmel, but I do want to spend some time in SC and check it out. Hopefully get a session in with you, or at least a beer.

You should definitely get up this way. Not sure if I'll be in town or not. Snow/surf/life dependent. If there is swell running, I think you'd be pretty happy being up here. If it is more moderate, and typical autumn off shores, you'll want to check out OB as well. The drive between town and the city is littered with breaks. And we have some good beer here in town. Depending on how family plans unfold, I might be able to offer you two a bed. Will need to see what the plans look like as we get closer. But that is a great time of year to visit the central coast. As long as you not get el ninoed.
