No offense, but man I wouldn't want to be your belayer under that load of loose blocks, looks like half the mountain is ready to come down.

mud, I hate the wide stuff, more power to you for being able/willing to do it.

I climbed a bit in my early 20's now at 36 I get the urge to return to it at the end of every ski season. This year I may join a climbing gym and see how it goes.

Indoor gyms and bolted sport climbs have filled this once great sport with whinny little man-boys.

None taken, as we tried to stick to a class 4 route, which due to a poor choice in guide book, we lost it. So no ropes.

That's why they call them the "Deadly Bells." There has been a number of rockfall deaths there.

The sport was always filled with whiny little man boys.
Just go lurk over on supertopo and you will see those old farts
are just as whiny, narcissistic, and petty as people can get.
I lost a lot of respect for some of the old timers I use to
read about mostly due to how whiny they act on that forum.

The kids today are actually pretty cool, they don't act
like what they are doing is some great noble act.
                  It's just climbing.

I knew I'd catch some flack for that photo.

I'm working on it, the rack was brand new this spring. I've been out a lot more since then and they look more respectable now.

It's a sick photo. Few things more inviting in climbing than a shiny #3 and sunny sandstone. Was that with a wide angle lens? Looking to pick one up at some point in the next decade

Thanks, it's a Sigma 10-20mm on a crop body. Awesome lens for the money. The ancient art photos are with that lens as well.

                        This one, too:
