How familiar you are with this area?
Do you know where Benton Crissing road is?
I was out there the other night looking for the Comet. There are plenty of places where the snow plows made wide spots along the road where you could pull in and camp got the night. I saw half a dozen other folks doing it. Its paved, hardly any traffic at night, super dark with great star watching. Also, if your willing to hike, hot springs are near by. If you text me at 775-224-9755 I'll send you a pin on google maps that will give you directions. Skiing was great today (Thurs) and mammoth was empty, never saw a line. Good luck,
