There is some tool parked behind my lab with the plate "PHD 2 B." Yeah, buddy, we know. You and the other 300 of us working in this building.
It's idomatic, beatch.

I love all the Elk-related license plates around here, lame but I get a chuckle out of it:
Elkiler
Gotaelk
Lkaholic
Elkman
One of my co-workers got this for her 17 y/o daughter: MCFH
Which she informed everyone stands for Monster Child From Hell.
The plate on her vehicle is Lostcoz. Lame.

(it's slightly less but i used 37 = alphabet + 10 digits + space...although technically you could not have all spaces and a few combinations are identical, e.g. "_ _ 9 A" = "_ 9 A _" = "9 A _ _"...)

Spaces count as characters on your plates? Interesting Yeah I was working on a basis it was just the alphabet, but yours sounds more reasonable.
edgDo you realize that you've just posted an admission of ignorance so breathtaking that it disqualifies you from commenting on any political or economic threads from here on out?

Somewhat OT, but any discussion of personalized plates reminds me of the plate I saw on a car driven by a woman in San Diego about 20 years ago that was in the standard "one-digit three-alpha three-digit" format. It was surrounded by a plate holder that said "No It's Not Personalized". The plate read "1FEM469".

When I was kid their was a hot blonde in our area who drove a white Corvette. Her plate on the front (not official) said: IF YOU CAN BEAT ME YOU EAT ME! We drooled every time she drove by!

Not really. I think personalized plates are gay.

Several years before I moved from NH they started using three letters and three numbers. They appeared to be assigned in order and my truck was BAY362 or something. I always wondered if sometime after I registered my truck someone got BEG469.
Also, I dated a girl whose family all had their initials and brith year as their plate. I thought ELK69 (my intials and year) would have gotten some interesting looks.

There was a chick in Victor with 'Crystal' as her plate...
She was busted for meth.
And she was a hot little slut, too.
