I use the safari browser for looking and posting on TGR - unless I want to post a pic then I use Tapatalk just for that purpose.

Also have to go to Tapatalk if I want to edit a post I’ve made (since trying to edit it in the safari browser just deletes it)

I’m impressed any of the apps still work on a phone that old. I threw my original iPad in the trash because it was useless.

My needs are pretty basic. I don’t even subscribe to cellular data, just pay as I go for phone and text - there’s enough wifi around to suit my needs. And since that lawsuit around the battery throttling, the iOS updates seem to be behaving. The TGR app has a few bugs on this device, but restarting the app always seemed to correct the issue.

I was milking a 6s until about a year ago without problems. The only reason it died was because i wasn’t clearing out the storage and inadvertently overloaded it and it bricked. Never had any issue w updating iOS and running apps

My MacBook Pro on the other hand got deprecated this year. Super annoying not to be able to update the OS on it anymore

Neither were as annoying as trying to use Tapatalk to post pics

A few days/ weeks ago, when the forum server got "upgraded," Tapatalk was working fairly smoothly still.

In the last couple of days, even Tapatalk has gotten painfully slow in opening up any thread -- click a thread, wait 20 seconds for it to open. Click the "go to the last page" in that thread (to get to the new posts, because that still doesn't work automatically), wait another 20 seconds to get there.

Is the forum dying, and it's just time to move to AlpineZone finally?
