It was a pretty nasty move no doubt.

Looking at it again, yeah, Toronto goalie couldn't have played the bounce, a hair too far with a rushing attacker closing.
Pasta picked it up forehand like he was just going to shoot and froze the goalie, then went to backhand really well.

Dallas has been taking dives this whole series. Soft

I thought Dallas played really dirty last season in the West Final, and they have reminded why I dislike them this series. Cheap shots, taking dives, whining for calls. Buncha babies.

Yeha I'm sitting here rooting for Vegas and I don't like Vegas.

Don't really like either team so I'm rooting for overtime since a game 7 OT when you have no dog in the fight (and can just enjoy the hockey and not worry about having a stroke) is awesome

Don’t have a stroke.
No pro sports team has the right to ruin your health.

Gutsy, pulling the goalie before securing the faceoffs.

Ugh. Knights had trouble stringing their game together all year. They would look unstoppable for a couple games then couldn’t find it the next.
I will say having three of the main guys go into that series without much ice time didn’t help. Petro, Stone and Hertl were all off their game this series. The downside of the LTIR stuff. Marchy was absent too. I felt like they’d need something from him tonight to win and he couldn’t come up with it.
Hope the Avs fuck em up the next round.

I'm sad about the result but it was nice to watch a game with minimal penalties, cheap shots, and scrums on both sides. I think Dallas learned something last year--discipline can win hockey games.
I'd like to see the NHL try out international sized rinks. I like the speed and finesse game a lot more than watching 4 guys trying to dig a puck out of the corners.Last edited by old goat; 05-06-2024 at 04:05 PM.

Not sure how many people noticed it, but Pasta made an absolutely filthy between the legs move to get off a backhand shot somewhere around the 13:00 mark of the 3rd...
Really hope that game winner gives him the kick he needed to start stepping up his game here as the 2nd round begins.. B's need him to be the player he has been and can be if we're gonna have any hope of advancing to the Conference Finals (or deeper).

I’ve been saying the same thing. I know in the post season a lot of guys are banged up, but Pasta has looked off physically. He took a nasty shot to the shin/ankle in game 2 I think, limped off the ice and was cleary in a lot of pain. I wonder if it’s been nagging at him since.
Either way, time to step up. I think the B’s only chance against Florida is if the panthers have some rust to shake off after sitting so long. I hope getting that win takes the pressure off and they loosen up a bit. Gonna be an entertaining series regardless.Originally Posted by JoeStrummer

IME the playoffs is when the heroes become unsung and the unsung become heroes. There are plenty of exceptions of course, but it's depth that wins Cups.

They definitely looked looser and were better with the puck tonight, despite some good Florida moments the Bs looked like a better team tonight.

I thought Pastrnak played well in this game, he seems to respond to Montgomery when he calls him out.
Mason Lohrei can play, kid’s got skills.

How about Carlo, first kid and a playoff goal on the same day.
