On this topic I bought the 18v Milwaukee inflator on a whim one day and it has turned into my most used tool. It will do 120psi for road tires or whatever pretty easily, and will do 80 PSI for HD truck tires with a little time. Never worried about it melting, it does use batteries sort of fast though if doing car tires.

This is my daily driver. I bring it on bike park weekends and have a fan for the dog on the same batteries.
For reference, I use it to inflate my AirShot to 120-130psi no problem.

The Wheels MFG axle cone guage is pretty rad, I hate figuring out thread pitches n such. Glad he mentioned the simple ruler right after, just ordered that, only $10 on their site. Also have had that Sram piston spreader on item reservation on QBP for a while, used that somewhere before and it's quite awesome.

One of the pro athletes I look after is sponsored by SRAM, every time I send part numbers to SRAM I add the Pad Spreader in the order, and never get it. Either its been out of stock, or specific tools are not available on this Pros allotment.

That was way more reasonable than I expected. Aside from the Abbey truing stand and the unnecessary axle sizing guide, I could see a shop owning must of that stuff.

Festool sent me this. I'm tempted... The wee scoring cutter is just so cute! https://www.festoolusa.com/products/...kebq-f-plus-us

Some cool stuff in there, curious what you needed in that list though? I also have been tring to get one of the pad spreaders for months!
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Huge F-up on my part.
Left my travel tool kit at the campsite and now have to replace some stuff.
Hex T-Handles: Go with the standard Park 2-10mm kit, or Wiha soft grip kit?

the park tool t handles are still my favorite, I use the spinning part more than I thought I ever would. Plus the strip-gripper tip has come in handy.

I used the wiha ones in the Sram class I just took, wasn't that big of a fan after being used to the park tool.

I ended up going with the Wiha P-Handles. I like the soft grip. Feels somewhat like the Bondhus screwdriver style hexs I love.

That new Fix Manufacturing torque wrench that goes from 2-24Nm looks nice.

I was just reinstalling a shock and needed 20Nm but my 1/4" bike wrench only goes to 15 and my only other torque wrench is too big to fit in the necessary space...so I just took it to 15 and then pushed a little harder

The Dee Hubbs Abby Truing Stand Purchase Date Pool has begun.

$5 entry. Pick a date and whoever is closest wins the pool. Because it's not if. It's when.

Because no one needs that stand. But we all NEED it, ya know?

    I'm taking June 6th.

I just ordered a set of bushing honing tools to work on my own and friends' forks. Because I've had that done on 3 of my own forks in the past and it's always felt great afterwards, and while there's another local guy who can do it, his prices are kinda outrageous (like a fork service & hone costs more than the cost of the tool).

Anyone ever flatten a warped cast iron? What kind of hammer should I use if I don't have a quiver and would need to buy something? Or would you do something else?

I was given a 1930's #10 Wagner with a pretty noticeable center warp from being used on too hot/small of a burner. My plan was to heat it for an hour or two in a 500F oven and then go at it upside down on a 6x6.

Are you aware there’s a cast iron thread in the padded room?

Swapped a GRX 820 group onto my gravel bike this weekend. Discovered that
    1) Shimano doesn't include a bleed block with the brakes (retail packaging...not a j-kit)
    2) none of the leftover bleed blocks I have from MTB brakes will fit
    3) the bleed cup I've been using for years on MTB brakes doesn't fit on the GRX levers
WTF Shimano? Anyone have a bleed kit they like that will include a GRX compatible bleed block and cup?
