By “the vax” you mean vaccinations in general

“Among survey respondents, 17 per cent of parents of minors said they are "really against" vaccinating their kids, compared with four per cent in 2019.”

I saw the rumor that the cdc’s (apparently non-science-based) new recommendations about isolation will come out tomorrow, mar 1.

    https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2...ory-virus.html

When I try to read through it like a protocol or a set of protocols, it does not make sense.

Ashish Jha and Eric Topol are arguing on Twitter. Lol. What a mess. Newhours interviewed the cdc director last night, who dodged the harder questions.

Bulking precautions and common sense is what it reads to me. Seems like an ok publication/summary.

The actual recommendations https://www.cdc.gov/respiratory-viru...-guidance.html (not the press release) make sense to me. I saw the interview with Mandy Cohen last night. She made the point that the large majority of people being hospitalized for covid are unimmunized or underimmunized. It does not seem right to me that all of us should isolate ourselves for extended periods of time to protect people who refuse to protect themselves.

Who judges when your “symptoms are getting better overall,” how contagious are you at that point, and what are you supposed to do? What’s the protocol?

Consider for yourself, consider if you’re a school administer, consider if you’re an employer, consider if you’re elderly. And you’re trying to follow their new recommendations.

Cdc is back(?) to calling it “infectious droplets.”

The long covid item is interesting, especially considering the summary takeaway from the journal article they linked?

Is this recommendation evidence based? How is it “increasing health security if our nation.”

Hasn't COVID basically been on the honor system the whole time? I showed my Vax card exactly once at a concert. What is your suggestion? It is basically "If you are sick stay home and try to not to get other people sick. When you are less sick, where a mask when you go out and try not to get other people sick".

More regulations won't help because there will be no enforcement.

That's unfortunate.....on the other hand, can see almost no reason to give a kid a covid booster. MMR, Tdap, Polio, varicella, HPV, Hep B, etc, yeah, get those.

    Yes.

Except morons who willfully ignore the 35% lower death rates in states with higher covid vaccination rates will, in turn, blame those trying to point out that fact as being the cause for their inability to understand routine childhood vaccines have been effective for decades - and they all almost require multiple “jabs” and “boosters” to achieve effective these protective levels.

“I blame the CDC for my stupidity! And I’ll let my kid get measles to show it! Even if I had multiple measles vaccinations over the years to get my own immunity - shit I never had measles so what’s the big deal?!”

First it was the hippies who knew more than the docs, now it’s the rednecks and the hippies.

Remember when you mind controlled morons unquestioningly accepted your programming that one of the “symptoms “ was NO symptoms at all.

How about incentivize businesses to enable people to stay home when sick.

Y’all don’t know people with long covid?

Interesting! Unfortunately the other three versions seemed to take up the slack the past two flu seasons.
