Blades have never made any sense to me. No clue why they are made or why someone would spend money on them. I would rather spend my money on real skis than joke skis, but that's just me. They are cool looking, though.

I don’t get em. Why would I want a ski that’s almost half of the length I enjoy?

Oh for christ's sake they are a novelty product. Fun to build, fun to ski. No, not cheap, but Moment sells out of the their Chipotle Banana blades in minutes every season. If you don't have a pair of straight skis in your garage, a mono ski in your saved searches, and at least 2 costumed ski events on your annual calendar they're probably not for you. That's ok. The Shane McConkey types will be hooting and hollering on dumb mini skis while the Rudi Garmisch types gaze on in bewilderment.

Looks like all kinds of stupid fun. Don’t weigh much. Hike them up a patch of corn snow, ski down, drink beer, repeat. If I had 4 bills laying around I’d be all over it.

Having the opposite issue than having short… blades.

I skied a Jeffery 110 I picked up off the finds and sweet jesus they ski short. I don’t remember the 118 from last year feeling like that. If I was in trees all the time they would be money but steep and open I felt under gunned. I snagged the 191 108 from the finds to see if the added length would help. Anyone else size up on Jeff’s from their other skis?

I am quite glad I ordered the 191 in the 118 I think it will still be plenty playful at my size.

    Context. I’m 6’1 220.

I went with a stiff layup Jeff 110 and I think the stiffness made up the difference in length. I’m on a 186 Jeff 110 and it feels more than ample. I tried a 181 to see if I could get away with a shorter length to make spinning faster and it felt extremely short.

Much shorter but I’m only 10lbs less than you

Ah this could also be the way! Should be able to get out on the 191 and see is that is too much material.

they’re so much fun. I’ve had my chipotle blades on a few trips now and everytime they’re just a blast. A lot of work. A lot of butt clenching. But tons of laughs too

But the 191 Jeff 118 is magical. Definitely size up on that ski. It skis much shorter than the jeff110, super easy to pivot, floats, and is a truck through all forms of chop.

It's just strange that the moment and jskis blades sell out in minutes/have tons of hype and on3p gets barely a nod. Maybe they did better over at ns

I've got Chipotle blades are they're a ton of fun to bust out in the spring.

ON3P release schedule has been whack this season and has hurt their hype around here for sure.

BGs not coming out till late March and Blades in late April? Bump the release schedule back 2 months and it would have been a different story.

Marketing and hype is a hell of a drug. J would sell his grandmother’s teeth to his barber’s dog if he could make a buck on it.

It could just be the timing or something - too close to / after the end of the season. I dunno - I do not possess a cell in my body that wants a pair of ski blades - I've always fucking hated ski blades (they are prob fun and might actually be very beneficial iot develop ones balance)

As for ON3P being meh on here - maybe, but then again there are like 15-25 guys doing 90% of the posting in Tech Talk presently - so I would perhaps not read too much into it. ON3P is def not meh for me and I would love to order some of the current offering - which might not count for alot with me being a major ON3P fanboi and all

Moment is also close in proximity to the Mothership / Pain McSchlonkey Classic. I have no idea if similar tomfoolery happens in Vermont ... I guess I also don't have much of an idea of that kind of tomfoolery happens in the PNW near ON3P HQ.

I requested pillow fights with sexy little people on them and was shut down by ON3P’s DEI dept.

Lol. This is the best idea I've heard in a while.
DEI is about inclusion right. Where's the little people representation?

    Minicorn Blades are hot.

I have J Skis Saucerboy Blades, they’re a riot. Great for messing around on spring days. Expect to see me in Pain McShlonkey next year

I learned to spin on the Saloman Ski Blades back in the day. Also great for intermediates to find their balance point - lean too far forward or back, and you fall. The last day I remember using them I felt a little bored and grabbed my skis, and that was the day I started to appreciate the power and energy that skis give back.
...But I can imagine having a ton of fun messing around on these.

I took my 50/50 wood110s with ATK R12 w/Freeride spacers out for tour this afternoon, and man - the previous woodman shape works incredibly well in slush. The relatively short cambered section together with lots of splay in the rockered sections make them really loose and easy to pivot.

I would imagine that the harder snow prowess of the new shape is even better - but still, I thoroughly enjoyed the WD110s today. I would love to try the new 100s - they must be fantastic spring mission skis.

The J118 Tour has been a great spring touring rig too. I never skied wide skis in spring, but they are so much better than my 96 waist skis when things start to get sloppy and the slush gets deep. They handle firm conditions okay for their width, and they are damp enough that they remain pretty composed through runnels and tracks and boot holes which I was surprised to see in a 1900g ski.

Do the BGs have the same/similar core profile and flex pattern of the WDs?
Mostly curious because with the WD change from the original to current core, I was able to step up from 177 to 182 (now 181). I’m wondering if that is the case with the BG as well.

Someone already snagged the 186 Woodsman 108 Black Bombers. Those were ridiculously rad, I kinda wanted not gonna lie.
