Hey, sorry for the late reply--been out of service for a bit. Norway is absolutely a bucket-list trip, but I think this trip will pretty much be an Italy and Alps affair. My friend that I'm staying and skiing with runs a farm, so we're trying to stay within driving distance in case something comes up or the weather changes suddenly.

Infinite southern Stau ahead... First a nice one. And then warm over the easter holidays...
Above 2500m there could be 3 or more meters of snow...below...
And first summer days in the Northern valleys with 25 + degrees. Late March....oh well. Climate change. It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.

I spent my first season in Ellmau in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental of Austria in 1993/94.
We were skiing knee deep powder to village level in late November (I was mostly falling) and by the time the end of March rolled around my company (Crystal Holidays) were sending my guests to higher resorts in Austria and France because the lower slopes were threadbare/closed.
It was t-shirt weather in the village, well in to the high teens C.
Up high it was still snowing and we enjoyed great conditions through to mid-April.
Ellmau is between 820m and 1,525m.
One isolated example I know, but not much has changed in my experience.
Some seasons are early to early.
Others are late to late.
Every once in a while we get early to late and unfortunately late to early.

Been a mild Winter in Wales but there has been skiing. Around 8-10 days.
I was away in Japan and Italy for all of them unfortunately.
My ski partner Chris was out and about though

Was hoping for some turns this past weekend but not enough fell.
Hopefully Thursday.

I didn't even realise you actually needed snow. I'm pretty sure some of your previous Stoke offerings could barely be described as a hard frost.

@banzai, ill be in Obertauern for a week with my kids from saturday. We'll no doubt hit the möllertaler gletscher for a day. I'll have any ice screws if you get crevassed, they'll make me look cool when I'm skiing in Kitzbühel

Nice, I was there last year for the school spring holiday, stayed in the valley in Sankt Margareten - much cheaper accommodation.
I'll be in Mallnitz this time and skiing Molltaler, but will explore Ankogel on Sunday, since its the last day of operation. Got a good deal on ski passes (230 eur for 6 days adult, 115 eur for kids), but I booked in advance via https://www.gopass.travel/ , check it out.
I'll be on the lookout for a turtle ninja with ice screws, harness, rope and ice axe then, intimidating them Bazzes
