thoughts on if appropriate to post free stuff for pick up in denver on the Colorado thread? Like if I wanted to give away a pair of 184 rossi big bang with G3 targa cables, ~175cm volant epics colorado-made and titanium with binders, and a vintage 1980ish schwinn ladies cruiser? I wouldn't make like a gear swap ad, but i would just ask anyone to PM me that wanted pics, etc?
If this isn't the place for it I won't do it.

Holy M-F’in Wind today, bat-children! (Golden) Decided not to drive back to JH, I80 will be a straight up shit-show, especially if it starts snowing even a tiny bit.

Heavy/rhimed snow all day with lots of wind... my roof went from bare to 18" of cornice horizontal overhang on the lee but only 6" on the deck furniture, so that suggests massive wind effect.

Yeah. Had a great day a week ago I was content to call that my last lifts served. Hard to turn down fresh though. Guess I'll get up and see if anything good happens overnight.

Just got back from out west. Vernal and Fruita. Rode the last 4 days. Lots of wind but not so much that we couldn't ride. Got snowed out of Vernal, so Fruita was dry enough. Both were devoid of people, quite nice.
Not sure I want to ski anymore this season. Caught the bike bug now, plus weekends are booked heading out west.

Does Spring come after Winter or does more Winter come after Winter? Many of the higher elevation SNOTELS haven't started declining. But the wind has been putting a damper on the skiing.

Wasn't very windy all day yesterday while the snow piled up in Breck (night before was another story, hole-eeeee!). A good 10" even in town, skiing should be primo today.

Me thinks is a different story over here at Windy Acres. G50 at Da Pass and G35 at Wanker. But same 10 in 48 snowreport.
Conditions: Powder
Season Total: 399"
Last 24 Hour: 9"
Last 48 Hour: 10"

It's wild how much these storms have missed the southern part of the state going on a month+ now. We've had a few squeakers drop 6-8" on the passes, but it's completely melted out below 10k, dry trails around Silverton even. Just freezing wind and a bit of rain. Seeing folks ski deep pow all around us to the north on social media has been interesting.

Pro tip: drop the social media
Because the #alwaysomethingtobitchabout crowd up North just looks at other people feeds and wants to ride bikes and wear flip flops.

Snow was awesome in Breck til around 11:30, then started getting a bit heavy. Granted Tbar opened late and imperial hadn't opened when I left at noon.
There will be news in a couple days about a very unfortunate passing of a longtime local here that ski patrol responded to before opening hours. That's as much as I know. Very sad... vibes to his family.

Colorado Weather Discussion Thread
Got some May faceshots at The Jane this morning. The trees were nice and deep and the snow blower for May. The terrain off Pano was deep too. I think they must have gone over 400” on the season today! Woooo!!!
Pretty empty and still snowing so there will be leftovers tomorrow.
